qmk RESET key does not enter DFU mode #3

Not sure if I'm missing something, but when I assign a key to RESET the keypad does not enter DFU mode for flashing. Instead it power cycles.

I'm mounting the keypad where the push button on the back is hard to get to, so I was hoping to add RESET to a second layer.

I'll have to poke around. I've only ever used the smd button on the back which is hardwired into the reset pin.
