Project status / Alternative Fork? #276

This project hasn't seen any active development since 2019, so should we consider this project abandoned? If it is can anyone recommend a healthy fork with a corresponding npm published package?

Update: For now I am going to go with the following fork until I hear otherwise:

Late answer, but for others looking for an alternative (and who only need protobuf tile service AND SVG Renderer in their application) I can recommend Leaflet.VectorTileLayer.
