Is EOD the right time for non-tech/human dev. curriculum? #240

Open carlabagdonas opened 8 years ago

Context

If players are only engaging with non-tech/human dev. curriculum at the end of the day, how do we ensure they have adequate mental/emotional capacity to fully engage?

How do we avoid the "lurch" of doing challenging work then abruptly heading home, where support may not be available?

If facilitators are always facilitating at the end of the day, how do we ensure their work day doesn't drag into the evening, supporting students with "spillover" issues that linger beyond the group's set timeframe?

Criteria

Home group schedule that ensures players have enough mental/emotional capacity to fully engage with content being offered, can smoothly transition to the next phase of their day (whether moving into coding or going home), and facilitators have a sustainable schedule.
