Capture Windows controls #172

What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?
Let Zscreen capture Windows components and controls (e.g. toolbars, system
tray, quick launch bar, task bar, panes/frames in a GUI, pull-down menu,
tab, etc.).

Currently the only way to capture the controls is through the crop shot.
But the user has to accurately position the corners. If he makes a mistake,
he has to edit out the undesired parts in the captured image. This is a
huge time-waster.

With the proposed mode, the user would move his mouse over different parts
of the screen, and Zscreen would detect the underlying screen components,
and highlight them with a border.

In case the controls are nested within other parts, a movement of the mouse
would highlight the nested parts also.

When the user sees his desired part highlighted, he clicks and then the
Zscreen would capture that part.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?
In making of manuals for any application, we need to show the screenshot of
a toolbar, pane, etc. The proposed mode of screen-capture will be able to
capture the parts rapidly; especially if Zscreen saves the captured images
and automatically names them.

Currently MWSnap can do this.

If needed, I can provide a screen capture flash file.
Please let me know if it is required.

1. Show the control's properties (name, handle, size, and x,y coordinates) in a
pop-up window.
2. When Zscreen saves the image, let it automatically insert the control's name
in
the file's name. (If the same file name already exists, a numeric suffix can be
automatically added.)

Were you aware of the Shift+PrintScreen functionality?

No, but that is what I wanted.. But the mode is too hidden: It should be
available
from the context menu from the system tray directly.

Plus the two suggestions I added later. :)
