Bug Report: Tutorial notes showing alongside custom chart's notes, can't rid of tutorial notes because they don't show up in editor. #281

Hey Leather. I saw your video about quitting FNF so I understand if you don't want to answer this along with my other unsolved question (I've been asking a lot of questions too, so I'm sorry about that as well). I just finished charting a song but instead of just the chart's notes, the tutorial's chart plays with it for some reason. None of the notes from tutorial show up in the chart editor. What's going on? I'm extremely confident that this isn't me...

Leather128 commented 2 years ago

well i know what's going on (notes are in different sections than where they should be prolly), did you by chance forget to reset the chart before charting your song?

sanamasako commented 2 years ago

The song I was charting didn't have a chart. I created a completely blank json file and started from there. Would it have loaded tutorial's notes anyway?

Leather128 commented 2 years ago

It shouldn't have, if you made a truly blank file there would've never been any notes in it and thus this wouldn't happen, so it seems you probably made it wrong, can you explain how you made a blank chart?

sanamasako commented 2 years ago

I created a text file, then renamed it ([songname]-hard) and changed the file extension to json.

Leather128 commented 2 years ago

is that it?

sanamasako commented 2 years ago

Yeah, that's all.

Leather128 commented 2 years ago

how did you load a blank text file as a song?

sanamasako commented 2 years ago

As I said, I changed the file extension from txt to json ([songname]-hard.json) so LE would pick up on it. Then I just pressed 7 and started charting.

daisukidaisy commented 2 years ago

I think that's a memory leak

sanamasako commented 2 years ago

A memory leak can make charts load other charts... on top of charts???

daisukidaisy commented 2 years ago

Apparently. It's happened to me before.

probably not, if that's the case though, then WOW hxcpp is a very bad compiler

sanamasako commented 2 years ago

if only you were still into FNF so maybe LE Godot could advance and become cooler and stuff. I tried adding 11 key with the source and it uh, didn't work well (aka didn't work at all) I've hardly ever used Godot before. maybe if either version of LE could get just one final bugfix update... that could do...

Leather128 commented 2 years ago

that's kinda what i'm doing with LE atm, godot i'm working on too, just a lot less mate

sanamasako commented 2 years ago

Ah! That's good to hear. Will it just be this last update and you quit for good, or will you continue LE/LE-GDot despite your current distaste in FNF?

Leather128 commented 2 years ago

prolly continue since i just work on it when i want anyways

I'm glad! I hope there's gonna be lots more features in 0.4.3 and 0.4.4, so on... maybe we'll even reach 0.5 (again)
