dont know what is wrong #98

dragged them into the .minecraft folder and they just aren't in the game. getting really pissed off that doing exactly what the instructions say to do doesn't work.

If everything is set up right, you should have a folder 'mods' and a folder 'Flan' in your .minecraft folder. Also make sure you are using the forge profile in the launcher.
