Suggestion box only shows on every odd keypress #5

The suggestion box only displays itself on every odd keypress. This does not seem to be the behaviour implied in the User Guide, where it is stated that 'As you type letter by letter, the suggestion box will automatically match your input to the most similar command, allowing you to refer to it on the go!'

Here is a series of screenshots:

  1. I entered p into the command box and the list of commands is displayed:

Thank you for your feedback.

We agree that some user might perceive it as an inconvenience.

The suggestion box was implemented to help guide users on command formats,this has no impact on functionality as the command will be carried out once enter is pressed.

In the future, we will provide to disable the suggestion box if the user finds it inconvenient.

Reason for disagreement: Hi there, the idea of having the suggestion box is good and it really helps the user. If it was implemented without any issues, with the behaviour as specified, I do not believe that it will be causing any inconvenience. The issue is the discrepancy between the expected behaviour and the actual behaviour. That being said, while this does not impact the overall functionality of the product itself, it should be fixed as this is a good feature and it would be wasted if left as it is.

Rather than disable the feature all together, the bug should be fixed to provide a more streamlined experience in further releases. There is no merit in leaving the wonky behaviour as it is, as it does not follow with the prescribed/envisioned behaviour in the guides.

Nonetheless, the severity of this bug is not high.

Reason for disagreement: As per developer response, the bug in the feature is causing minor inconvenience. So the severity is Low.
