It would be so useful for developers to be able  to obtain the in-app product 
list from the application to show differences between products in the 
application without having to duplicate all the data, which is too error prone.

This method also allows developers to manage, in a easier way, showing product 
prices in different currencies and / or special offers for several countries 
before watching the google play purchase view.

AFAIK Apple allows developers to access this product list from iOS apps.

Apple does allow this, not having this feature means that there is no way to 
query the server for the current accurate price of an IAP item.

Even the ability to query the local currency price of a single IAP would be 
sufficient.
