The statement "Human population growth must be curbed to prevent an ecological disaster." is misleading

It's an popular belief that overpopulation is a major cause of climate change, but this is incorrect. Overpopulation is caused by the need of many children for survival of the parents. There is an almost direct inverse correlation between income and number of children. This suggests the problem isn't overpopulation itself and a socialist society is a solution.

Also, overpopulation is not an issue, the real issue is the inefficiency of the capitalist method of production and distribution of goods.
