@sirus628 Can you also go through the NPC list and get me info on spells that are bought and sold NPC to AH for crazy prices aside from what we fixed this am
These prices have been adjusted
OK I will update the list
bump, updated the list with some important finds.
There is the one listed in the new user guide of buying the Foe Requiem III from NPC Hortense in bastok market for 4653 Gil and sells on AH for 30k each. I admit I used this because I thought it was OK since it was specifically mentioned in the guide.
Its fine im sure the GMs dont mind that some people sold a few scrolls for a bonus. Doing that a bit inst any where near the scale of some of the unreported exploits. The AH will be fixed after it comes back dont worry.
Yeah, I for one have no plans to punish anyone over smallish profits from some ill advised guide info when there's billion gil black market meatball racketeering cartels to break up. All that should be done away with when the bot is restored.
I'm still  laughing that I just said "billion gil black market meatball racketeering cartels"
The Scroll of Barblizzard sells for 3624 in Lower Jeuno and for 30k on AH. I too was using the idea from the new player guide, I just happened across this scroll while killing time for my Chocobo License.
Additionally the Scroll of Barblizzara sells for 3624 and goes for 20k on AH. The other Bar spells sell similarly in that they cost a couple thousand (or less) and sell for 10k or so.
Italian tarutaru meatball syndicates. Like the damn minikuza. It cracked me up too cause I sold like 20 stacks of meatballs and never checked the single price hahah. So I unknowingly funded them with extra meatballs.
As for the spells I think they will just have to be set to the NPC sell price. Don't worry tho the guide was assuming you could only get 9 scrolls max at a time. Not list 400 meatballs at 5m haha. Or gobys for 17m.
Some items will could get deliberately left higher than NPC price, but the potential margin for NPC to AH shuttling would get cut far enough to make it not worth wasting time doing. It'd be more like making trips to a repeatable quest NPC - nobody ever made billions with a B from that, and quests have the bonus of building fame levels. At the outset while we rebuild a lot of things are just going to be NPC priced for safety reasons. We don't trust retail values anymore.
A single chocobo feather can be bought from NPC for 8 gil and the AH-Bot price is over 48mil
Guys, keep in mind that the price history will still reflect things we had already fixed.
Until I wipe the entire thing to a clean slate to go with our new version of the bots pricing scheme that is...
It's not an exploit item, but while leveling cooking awhile back I noticed that Imperial Tea Leaves were 200k/stack. Is that because of the rarity of those in finding them in Wajaom and Bhaflau and not available from vendors? Only other common location wiki's say to get them is from Assault which I don't think is coded. I'm assuming the price is probably correct on this one?
@Arrytha most prices were taken from ffxiah.com values. So it reflects that. We will have to adjust a lot of items to match our economy and server considering the inflated prices and rarity changes.
So they may stay 200k or not even be listed. I know windy tea leaves are usually a hot ticket to post on ah after buying from NPC because most people don't want to go to the shop. Hopefully we will see a lot more player driven sales because of longer restock/buy times on ahbot.
I would love alchemy and lots of crafts to be useful. As well as a high tier HQ not to be useless because 9 are always on ah for basically the same as nq.
Yeah I agree. The first of two crafts I leveled was cooking and solely out of nostalgia from years ago on retail and never quite capping it. I realized, however, there was little value in cooking at all presently because there is buffed server food from @shop 2. Maybe making the buffed food into cooking recipes would be a good idea ;) Either way I'm continuing to get KIs for cooking just for old times sake haha
@sirus628 @Arrytha the items in question have been resolved in the new AH files
@Arrytha you can craft the buffed food and sell it anyone can, you just have to actually craft it.
The buffed food items are overkill often, I see people paying 60k for something they will use for 5 min or less on a fight that they could have handled with a cheap meat jerky. Personally, I leveled a thf to 83 without even touching the buffed food items, but was grateful that the bot was listing cheaper alternatives when I'd NM camp something closer to my level or do a BCNM fight. My only use of buffed food was when I tried to solo the mission 5-1 ArchLich. I got him low HP (I forget exactly, but under 10%) and then wiped.
With the AH changes I hope people buy less of the buffed food since money will be more valuable now.

Updated the list with more information/ In anticipation of new findings.
It is a great gil sponge for the server. Especially with people multiboxing and getting money on every char for every kill.
It is not as helpful when you reach 99+ but it is still the ease of obtaining and the quick coverall bonus is nice.
Exactly what you would want in a good non-retail experience. There is already a huge potential to make lots of money off of some of the food such as creampuffs. and will be even more when the cap is raised for others.
I think having a bazaar/trade area would be very nice. Could even do something awesome like make an @tele
bazaar. There are tons of people looking to Bazaar items but just never around many people.
Mostly people are spread among the 3 starter cities because of OP warp/hp point warp so there is no reason to be any where else.
@sirus628 anytime you have to use an (at) symbol on GitHub and you aren't trying to tag a person, place backticks around the text @likethis
otherwise its what GitHub calls a mention, which will send a notification to a person with that username.
R3P0FFXI has already gotten most of the new AH bot item list done. I thought we'd tag team it but he's been cruising along without me, making it exploit free.
@TeoTwawki I forgot my backticks lol
Yea I this will mostly be done as a exploit issue, mostly just an update/error/suggestion thing for the new stuff. Like if there is an npc overlooked with conflicting prices.
@TeoTwawki @sirus628 @Loki79 @atom0s what are your thoughts on removing buffed food completely to make cooking a more prominent option?
I would be all over that! Cooking in FFXI inspired a real life passion to cook, no joke. On Feb 29, 2016 9:48 AM, "R3P0FFXI" notifications@github.com wrote:

Prob with trying to get players cooking is we could wind up with either no food on Ah or nobody cooking because the bot still supplies food. One possibility is keep the buffed food but axe it from the shop command and the bot supply, so to get the super-food someone would have to craft and players would set the price. But the price would largely be decided by the recipe materials, and might just obsolete non buffed food.
Really anything we do is going to be a guess at how the players would react to scarcity (they might simply react as if food X doesn't exist, use food Y instead). They mostly aren't responding to that survey (only 6 people) I set up while the bot was offline, and the bot will be back soon, so there is virtually no data to go on.
I would cook for sure. I've been working on guild items even though there was no real point. Lol Another problem I can forsee is a lot of good food is made using fish, which to my knowledge isn't working. On Feb 29, 2016 10:30 AM, "TeoTwawki" notifications@github.com wrote:

@R3P0FFXI Only stock non HQ tier items.
Since some crafts rely on their amount produced as HQ stock and have little to no "white box+1" tier
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
All consumables NQ = 187%(high end, 133 would work fine also) retail increase. All consumables HQ(Craft onry no ahbot) = 267.40% increase
No +1 items/gear by ahbot 110 crafts will make tons more common, eg. lvl 93-98 crafts will be instantly 10% HQ rate.
Aside from custom items this would make things like
To look at this alongside the shop 2 buffed food, NQ 187% vs HQ modded
@shop 2
Buff HP+20% MP+20% All Stats+10 Acc/Racc Bonus 30%Basically stock NQ at low amounts/long times. Set a good price, HQ will be player to player super bonus. Outweigh any shop items.
For AHbot buyback, once every 72 hrs buy all at mrsp or some kind of long time, to clear/restock any items. So you could still simulate a 5000 player market.
That would meet half way with allowing a fast paced non-retail feel like the old AH bot. Leveling from 20-50, selling the gear you get off ahbot back for MRSP, which is a very very nice feature. considering most of it is nostalgia at that level and just a bonus to ease leveling.
An easy way of setting up prices is a GM char buying/selling/fixing items from in game. Would really only just need Money to fix most, aside from listing new items with an MRSP or something to that affect.
cough we will need fishing cough

At no point will a GM be spending time trying to price fix anything. Bot exists specifically to not have to do stuff like that and provide simulated buyers and sellers.
Aside from that you are thinking like r3 already has: longer timings to make room for players. Its already set for when bot revives, and we'll see how people react and adjust as needed.

Borked in DSP  No choice but to stock fish or make fish into drops/NPC shops.
Dumps have been made of the exploited AH history and queries have been made to easily find those that exploited it and how much they have made via the exploits. Justice will be served. Mwuahaha...
