Link's slashes aren't instant, they are sluggish and they have an extra frame in the middle of the slash.
It makes me get hit more frequently than I would think.
Not only that, but forcing movement after a slash isn't instant after the attack is made like in ALTTP, instead, you must wait the attack to finish all the way.
