contact form non-functional #25

when I tested, received error: We're sorry. Something Unexpected Happened. Please Try Again Later.

I'm guessing this has to do with needing to resolve policy for sending emails from sites we host, which is also relevant to our WIP hapmap2 site (@ctcncgr)

not sure if we plan to do some sort of thing other than directing this to legumefederation@gmail.com as is indicated in other places as an alternative. Are mailto: URLs now considered harmful due to spambots? Haven't spambots gotten smart enough to decipher "legumefederation at gmail dot com"? we should have a consistent approach in any case.
