Hello,
Right after posting this mesg, I browsed the code, I noticed that you had
modified the sensitivity for a catch. I
downloaded the revised code and tried it out. I left my graphics settings at
max, and turned my catch sensitivity
in GoneFishing to medium, and set my bobber square setting to 20. It is now
catching all fish again. THANKS!

I downloaded the source code right from this web site. I used xcode to compile
it. Xcode comes free with every
mac. The original author made the modes. but did not post a new build, just the
source. Click the tab up top of
this page to get the source code. I used SVN to download it as a package.

Thank you very much! I compiled it and it's now running smooth.

fix this problem so that
someone who is not a coder could fix it? I agree with another post here.....I

Is there a method to get the source in a single zip file or tarball that I am
missing? If not, would someone please
link either the recompiled binary with the fix or the entire source in a
zip/tarball?

Why not just do a checkout of the repository with your favorite svn client?
Its really easy to compile using xcode, free from Apple's webpage:
http://developer.apple.com/technology/xcode.html .
If you can open a .txt file you can compile this source code as well..

I did check out the SVN code and compiled it. However, it still doesn't seem to
"click" the bobber even with sensitivity set to high. Any ideas?

Hey all,
I have always been a major fan of this app and now I see that it broke down
because of the updates. I finally see
the problem and also have created a solution.... I have a updated application
that I am willing to send out threw
email. So, send me an email and I will send you my update app. Please note
below and if anyone has issues or
ideas for another update also email me. Tips are welcomed lol
Keynotes for update 1.1.6.1: In update the sensitivity is changed but not fine
tuned so default is preferred.

Would love it if you could aslo send it to me, ProjectNapalm @
Gull_i_ver@hotmail.com.
Would be very much preciated.
A VERY tailored walktrough of how to do the Xcode thing would be nice if anyone
have
it. Or if some of you programmers who understand this, could just make a quick
video
and host it? Please? :D

Unfortunately what you have to do is download the source code and compile it
with Xcode, and what it gives you
is not savable and not emailable and goes away when you close Xcode. I don't
know how to save it or i would
save it for myself. Only the author can make it savable.
30 minutes on Google would be your friend and the program works great.

Giving up. The original won't recognize bites, and the one I got from napalm
(thanks for sending it so quickly)
won't wait for bites, even on the lowest sensitivity setting. I finally got the
original to work in Mulgore, but
anywhere else I go it won't respond to bites after it locates the bobber.

Did you follow the link to the xcode on apples site, just open the "Package"
which is the gone fishing project
folder, then hit the "Run" button at the top of the box, tada, that is it.
You can't save the working file, so every time you want to run it, you have to
start xcode and compile it.
It still works great, even on 3.2.0

I figured out a way to make it click all the time. Set your square setting to
20 and max video settings. And you
have to find a place where your bobber is really bright. I did this and its
working fine now...Sucks though cant
fish where my red feather isnt very bright cause it wont sense it. =( Oh well
at least i found one way until they
update this. Hopefully soon. Hope this helps a bit. Oh and if anyone can
explain how to set up the code thing
very detailed i would really appreciate it a bunch. Email is
Juston410@aol.com. Thanks =)

How much more info do you want to "SETUP" the code thing....
Download it, install it and make like 3 clicks and you are done....
You are WAAAYYYY overthinking it.......
You "Open Package"
Click "Run"
and you are done

If anyone has got this working on OS 10.6 and has a compiled code or a way to
fix it, please send to
materialsman@gmail.com
I'm having super inconsistent experiences with locating the bobber and/or
registering a catch and I wondered if
it might be owing to the 10.6 operating system.
Thanks!
