Patches of randomly floating mushrooms? #242

Open Wolris opened 1 year ago

Love this mod, and I really want to include it in my modpack, but when I include this one, suddenly there are random patches of floating mushrooms. like, a small group of them floating on a variety of y levels, even above the ocean. I can share my modlist if that helps.

Hi - could you share a screenshot of this? Your mod list would be helpful.

Thanks

You can see in the XaeroMap how they form in clusters where my Red Arrow is and my Cursor Highlight Box is. 2023-10-26_21 17 26 2023-10-26_21 18 18 2023-10-26_21 25 05

I've seen it with red mushrooms, too. The brown ones above just have a 3d resource pack on them that doesn't impact the problem. Here's a shot with those modded poison mushrooms over land, working as intended and causing a splash poison effect if something walks through them: 2023-10-26_21 28 05

Interesting, I haven't seen this with Biome makeover before. if you remove BM from your pack and generate a new world does the issue go away?

Lemonszz commented 1 year ago

Also, what version of BM do you have?

Wolris commented 1 year ago

Affermative, creating a new world with BM disabled removes the problem. biomemakeover-FORGE-1.20.1-1.11.4.jar Getting a modlist together now. warning: it's alot. lol

Wolris commented 1 year ago

OH, and I've used it before without this problem (Forge 1.19.2, I think)

Lemonszz commented 1 year ago

Cool - I think I have a theory, could you post your latest.log file?

latest.log

Also, not sure if I was clear, but to restate: If I disable BM, any world created with BM still has the BM structures, including the floating mushrooms patches, However, new world creation does not. Hope that helps.

I just tried to install modlistobserver to see if it could produce a good list, it does not. Log should have the list. Minus one, I had a hunch that it might be "AlchemistsGarden-v8.2.jar", but sadly, the patches still show up, just in different locations.

Alright my theory didn't hold up, so I tried it with a few mods that I thought may be suspects from your mod list and I couldn't recreate the issue.

I would wager that this isn't directly the fault of BM, but something else is breaking the minecraft:mushroom_grow_block block tag in some way, but I'm not sure what mod that would be.

Unfortunately the best way to work it out is so to remove half of your mods at a time (while keeping BM installed) to slowly narrow down the culprit.

Let me know if you find out any more information - Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

I'll see what I can find. Thanks for looking.

FYI, I think I understood you were looking for Mushroom mods, that was my first thought, too. There are three mushroom specific mods that I tried to remove first, to no avail. Trying your cut in half method right now, I think it has potential.

After a while, I found the conflicting Mod: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/hanew-village is incompatable
