Hi Leonhard,
For the map, I already have a fix. I'ts quite a big download however. Do you have some time late today (>15.00) to do a remote session on the D-SIM instructor PC so we can deploy it?
For the crashes, we have an idea on what is likely the problem. The potential fix is a combination of software and hardware. We need to change a configuration in the network switch, according to Stephen this can be done remotely. But then also there needs to be an additional set of LAN cables from the switch to the second (now unused) ethernet port of the D-SIM PCs. Finally we just need to adjust some startup scripts and network interface settings.
I believe we didn't pack an additional set of ethernet cables when I delivered the simulator, so I think it's most practical/faster if you can arrange that locally. They can be the same length as the existing yellow cables (<1m), but I recommend getting a different color to make it easier to distinguish the two networks from eachother. Once you have them I can explain how to connect it. Let me know if this is ok.
Hi Ivan,
sure, i am here today. Would you have time earlier? (approx. 1400)?
I will buy the cables now.
Hi Leonhard,
Unfortunately I already have a meeting at 14.00 today. Do you have some time at 13.00 in that case? I'm not sure if we can then do the cables and the associated changes today. But it should be enough to access the network switch to change the most important configuration and also run the software update for the map which can take some time anyway. The rest we can try tomorrow or next week if that is ok.
Hi Ivan,
i already have the LAN cables. We can do the remote session also after 1500.
That's fast! Great!
Then let's meet at 15.00 today.
Ok!
Hi Ivan, as discussed here i have some additional points that would be nice to have:
