workspace is lost after sign-in #125

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. The user creates a workspace, but is not logged in.
2. To save the workspace, the user logs in.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The user should be able to work on the current workspace. The workspace, 
however, gets lost.
