Move map type selection to view configuration properties #84

Currently, the map type can be selected on the map itself. However, this is 
buggy when having several maps. It is also inconsistent with the UI metaphor 
for view configuration.

Make map type selection a part of the view configuration for maps, and remove 
the direct selection on the map.
