Feature Request: Email notification when someone shouts on your profile

Wouldn't it be good if you recieved an optional email if someone shouts on 
your profile? It was ages before I realised someone had shouted on my 
profile... Who checkes their own profile anyway?

Any email notifications should be configurable.  Too many shout notifications 
and 
they become spam.

Alternative:  "You have X new shouts on your profile!" notification on the 
front 
page.

i like the idea of the alert being displayed on the page instead of an email. 
There
is code at the moment to display a message to ban users, so i think this could 
be
refactored into a control which can then display alerts.

the following events would trigger an alert, 
-new friend add
-shout on profile

however you would only every had one alert of a give type so as not overload 
the user
with too much info
