Cannot access, update, nor re-submit posts deleted by moderators #187

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
If a post has been deleted by a moderator (due to an objectionable word in
the description or title, for example) there is no way for the submitter
to fix or resubmit the post.

If I attempt to re-submit the deleted post, DNK shows an error that the
post was already submitted and I should kick it instead. If I attempt to
kick it, DNK shows an error that the post is missing. And there's no way
to edit the description to change the problem. Hence, the post enters an
apparent black hole.

Undelete solves part of this, and I added that functionality about a week ago I
think. Issue 183.

As far as modifying the title, we'd need to add the ability to edit the title
if you
were a moderator from somewhere. - Perhaps something as simple as a textbox on
the
bottom of the story page that has the title in it, and then a submit button from
there it's as easy as story.save.

OR Perhaps it's time for a moderator type page that allows this type of
functionality, kind of like the edit host table in admin. I'm open to
suggestions
before I digg into it anymore. Anyone want to chime in, please?

It would be nice if they mention the reason for deleting the post in the auto
mail
that is sent. This way we know what exactly "offended" the moderator.

Thanks
