DotNetKicks Trend Mapping / Buzz #85

I think that it would be cool to have some trend mapping.

Such as showing the top category rise in percentage for a week. For
example, if Silverlight story submissions rose 350% in the last week, etc.
Or if C++ story submissions dropped 250% in the last week, etc.

Similar system for tagging.

I think this would probably be better at the month level due to needing
some good volume to make a good trend map.

I was thinking of something similar to Yahoo's trends/Buzz

http://buzz.yahoo.com/overall/

I see this as different from the stats/reporting/zeitgeist, because that is
based more on total count of stats for start/end time period (numbers of
kicks, stories submitted).

This would be more of a relative percentage for a time period for
non-stories (tags, categories, etc.). Maybe use a year as base and month
for comparison:

Such as: if Silverlight averages 1 story per month over year and 3
Silverlight stories submitted this month then 200% increase, etc.
