For the SCQ-PC and SCQ-CC individual questionnaires, each should give the
researcher these two options:

(1) The participant code number determines the RIO order; each successive
group of 6 code numbers presents R, I, and O in the same random order.

(2) The researcher chooses one of the six RIO orders of the questionnaire.
The researcher would enter a participant code that would be ignored when
determining the order of RIO.

Put the two options on a second page for the researcher that follows the
current "Introduction for Researcher" opening page, which describes the
questionnaire for the researcher, and precedes the page on which the
researcher enters the participant's code number and gender. At the top of
this new second page, put "Introduction for Researcher" in the same format
as it is at the top of the current first page.
On that second page, put the following text:
"You have two options for the order of presentation of the real self,
ideal self, and ought self:
[box to check] This option presents the six possible orders in the same
random order for each successive group of six participant code numbers so
that this order effect is controlled for research.
[box to check] This option allows you to choose one of the six orders
that will be presented to every participant unless you decide to change the
order.
The option you choose will remain in effect unless you change it so that
you will not have to choose an option every time you use the questionnaire."

(5) For both options, save the order as an alphabetical "data point" (e.g.,
RIO, IRO)
