Self-Discrepancy Scores

              PCRI = (PCRI score)

              PCRO = (PCRO score)

The Personal Construct Real-Ideal Discrepancy score (PCRI) is the mean of
the differences between the person’s ratings of how often the real self and
ideal self characteristics and opposite characteristics are true of the
real self and the person’s ratings of how often the real self and ideal
self characteristics and opposite characteristics are true of the ideal
self. A high PCRI indicates that the person believes he or she does not
often enough have the ideal characteristics and too often has the opposite
characteristics.

The Personal Construct Real-Ought Discrepancy score (PCRO) is the mean of
the differences between the person’s ratings of how often the real self and
ought self characteristics and opposite characteristics are true of the
real self and the person’s ratings of how often the real self and ought
self characteristics and opposite characteristics are true of the ought
self. A high PCRO indicates that the person believes that he or she does
not often enough have the characteristics others expect and too often has
the opposite characteristics.

The score on each questionnaire should be available from within the
administrative
interface.

Please set up the interface so that each researcher can access the data only
from the
questionnaires he/she has had completed by research participants. No researcher
should be able to access another researcher's data. Each researcher should be
asked
to set up his/her own password.
