4chan X features #64

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Many people request some 4chan X features to work on the fuuka based archives.

In an effort to not clusterfuck 4chan X and enhance the default experience of
the fuuka based archives, I, !MayhemxaEo, hereby request that you either
implement them natively or with embedded js scripts.

That is all.

Sounds reasonable. As a 4chan X user, I do miss some of its functionality on
the archives, especially the quoting features. Which ones do you think that
make sense within the context of an archive, though? Stuff like thread
watching/thread updating seems rather pointless, though thread watching could
work as a handy favoriting system...

In my opinion, what I see as important are every quoting features and localized
time.
Other features make more sense only on 4chan as it's where the heavy lurking's
at.

fyi, I'm thinking about creating my own archiving software.

This would be a blessing for the Bromont threads. Make the updater work too if
you can please.

I think issue 22, issue 72 and issue 78 track all of features asked here, so
I'm closing this one.
