Use 4chanlink for image links #70

http://www.4chanlink.org/

It basically archives the original picture, sure it may be cruel on the server
to piggyback it's service, but they don't keep the image forever, and it
eliminates the 4chan leech warning. I guess worst case, you can just use the
OP's picture.

Maybe you should ask the guy first.

"What is it?

This site provides a simple way of linking to images (jpg, png and gif) on
4chan even after they have 404'd.

By using 4chanlink the linked image will be accessible at least 168 hours after
it has 404'd on 4chan. This is because the image is mirrored here on 4chanlink."

I don't really want to do that. Image links are simple <a href>s, so bots like
Google and etc would flood 4chanlink and trigger their image downloading while
crawling archives, effectively breaking their service.
