Can you confirm the new scripts solve this issue?

Windows version 1.0.2 seems to fix this. Can you install and confirm? The JC is
a good
place to test both wired and wireless connections.

Possible problems with Mac. Can you verify that this fix works on Mac, Win, or
Lin?

Crud, the updates (1.0.4 Mac, 1.0.2 Win) somehow worsen the problem, esp. for
wired
users. Will need to reconsider solution and test, test, and re-test before
pushing
updates.

Completely redesigned Perl script. Please test it to see if it works better and
solves this problem. If so, I'll embed it for Mac/Win and you can implement the
changes in Python/Linux.

Wireless seems to be fixed in the new Perl script. The Mac OS X version has
been updated to include this, and the Windows version will, too.
