1. Launched a fresh mongoose 3.1 version
2. Just modify document_root to point to my files
3. Type the adress (localhost:8080) in the browser
4. Get error message :
Error 403: Directory Listing Denied
Directory listing denied
5. If I type localhost:8080/index.htm then I get my page

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is my web page. I get a 403 error

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
3.1 on windows 7 32bits

Please provide any additional information below.
I'm quite disapointed. That's a really basic bug, the server can't find
index.htm, I have to specify it... wow... never expected something like that

I am unable to duplicate this issue. More information about the environment
would be helpful.
Are you compiling Mongoose yourself or using a provided binary?
If using the provided binary, do you have the Mongoose config file set to
recognize your index file? ("index_files index.html")
(Note I am not a Mongoose developer, just trying to help)

I am unable to reproduce that too.
Closing this, unless the reporter is willing to provide more info despite deep
disappointment.
