Two unneeded check boxes appear in the Query results > Layer name/Feature(s) found > Columns menu #77

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use query tool to bring up the Query results window.
2. Click the pulldown for either Layer name of Feature(s) found. The Columns
menu items expands to show two check boxes that are not associated with the
layer's attributes.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect not to see check boxes not associated with any attribute.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.
See attached.

We would like to remove the ability for users to turn on or off columns in the
At a glance table in the query results. Also, the sort ascending and sort
descending options are always grayed out in the At a glance table and should be
fixed so that users can sort the Layer name and Feature(s) found columns. The
sort options should be removed from the first column with the point/line/poly
icons and the last column with the spinner.

I have removed the little popdown list that allows you to check on/off columns.
I'm afraid that I can't get the data layers title column to sort, though.
I've poked around extjs and see similar bug reports but nothing that I can
claim as identical to ours. I'll keep this in the back of my head, but I'm
going ahead w/ this rollout as-is.

Could you live w/ non-sortable titles if it came to that?

We can live with non-sortable columns in Data layers, but we'd really like to
see the sorting *and* column show/hide menu options again in Feature details.
Some attribute tables get unwieldy without the ability to hide columns.
