Selecting "snapable" area highlights features in orange #83

In this example 

http://maps.massgis.state.ma.us/map_ol_editing/edit_testing.php  

I snap to 2 layers - AFREEMAN.GEOSERVER_TEST_LINE and GISDATA.TOWNS_POLY as set 
up in 

http://maps.massgis.state.ma.us/map_ol_editing/js/toolConfig_editing.js 

The snapping does work, but the features in the 2 layers are colored orange.

This happens with both OL 2.10 and OL 2.11 so I don't think it's an OL 2.11 
issue.
