Compass/SASS/SCSS use the SCSS syntax now, and consequently now cannot compile 
the SASS files. This revision 
(http://code.google.com/r/timdumol-flask-sagenb/source/detail?r=e06b3a6bfa47b2b0
cf1c85fb43e25b61478ca7e2) updates the files to the new syntax.

Thanks, it works now for me!
Could you please update sass/readme.txt with the instructions for the stock 
compass,
rather than for the clone?
