rvagg/node-leveldown has a branch for hyperleveldb that hasn't yet been rebased to the 1.0.0 changes (nor 1.0.1 which has the NAN upgrade for io.js support). I'd welcome help in doing that as I'm squeezed for time right now and don't use level-hyper myself so don't have strong incentive to put the time in myself.

@mafintosh may be someone to also help because I believe they are using this for dat?

I would love to help as well but have no experience with node-gyp. Would be happy to get some pointers :) (obviously when people have time!)

@toddself There is a patch for leveldown here https://github.com/rvagg/node-leveldown/pull/151 but it needs to be tested properly first. Once that is done we can release a new version of leveldown-hyper and then update level-hyper. We're also in the process of moving repositories to Level organisation, so things might take a while longer before we get something out. Please bare with us :)
