Audio codec? #6

I have the same model machine as you & am using your OC to boot but I have no audio. What codec came with your machine? I've got an Intel SST controller which either works or doesn't work with AppleALC depending on who you ask.

I don't know about Intel SST controller, so I can't help you with that. My laptop use Realtek alc256 codec, and for MacOS I'm using AppleALC kext with audio layout set to 13.

Ok thanks I guess ASUS changed the codec. Everything else works flawlessly though so thanks for your work. Hopefully VoodooHDA will work for me.
