1 year ago another is about net framework/redistributable issues in your machine. so idk how to actually fix it. but i can say dont try to delete every metro program from win8.1

directory for game maker studio [C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\GameMaker-Studio]
if you have it in another location for "portable" reasons you can make a symlink.
mklink /d C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\GameMaker-Studio "the folder with your game maker" then you can do what you want :)
