[possible bug] Results are different with exponentiate selected, even without use of exponents. #1

Even though none of the results are using exponents, the result with exponents selected has fewer operations, even though it is possible without exponents.

Do you know why when exponentiate is selected, the result is different?

When I get time I can look into the code and perhaps open a PR, but for now I was gonna check if you notice anything obvious I'm missing.

Sorry for the late response, I didn't have time to work on side projects due to other responsibilities. That shouldn't be the case, I'll take a look at it
