Is it possible to use LCF instead of SIP2 / LDAP #346

Open weepsie opened 7 months ago

Our LMS can use SIP2, however we are moving away as much as possible to use LCF for a number of reasons. As part of this we are looking at new PC booking solutions and LCF is a prerequisite,

I'm not sure how widespread it is, but is it something that is possible?

Libki does not currently support LCF but if you can provide me something to develop against I'd be happy to look into it!

Apologies. Never saw this reply. I will contact our LMS supplier just to see if there anything I can give you. They have done a lot of API work already and it's publicly available sort of, but what exactly would you need?

So your ILS support LCF v1.3.0, as documented here? https://bic-org-uk.github.io/bic-lcf/LCF-RESTWebServiceSpecification.html

I believe so. They are one the LMS supplier pushing LCF more than most as far as Im aware. I'll double check. It is being used for authentication of another similar PC booking product, Kiosks, Open Libraries and eResources.
