Unable to find recently-added records using the default search, in catalogue admin and OPAC #710

Hi,

This is similar to issue #708 - I can't find any of the records I created yesterday or the day before. This is not just in the OPAC, it's in the admin part of the system - Dashboard / Catalogs / Catalog items. They appear in the alphabetical list of items, but you can't find them by searching. eg if you search for 'Lester' in Author, it finds 4 records. If you search in Default it only finds 3 (ie the one I did 2 days ago does not appear). This is also true of the OPAC. Most of our users will search in the Default, so it's worrying that it takes so long to index records for the default search.

Our catalogue is https://banburyhistoricalsociety.librarika.com/search

Please can you investigate?

Thanks,

Sue

We are facing an issue with our search engine that's why the search (default option) not working properly. We are hoping to resolve this issue in our next release. Meanwhile, please choose other options like title, isbn, call number etc for catalog search.

Do you have a planned release date?

jinia3636 commented 2 years ago

The exact time frame is not decided yet. But do not worry we will let you know once we resolve the issue

Dear jinia3636, I would like to inquire if this search engine issue has been resolved already? The OPAC search in the RBM Library (https://rbmlibrary.librarika.com/) that I created is not functioning too. Basic keyword search here https://rbmlibrary.librarika.com/ resulted to no records found. Default search here https://rbmlibrary.librarika.com/search also yielded no results too.

Hope to hear positive response from your team soon.

Thank you to the whole Librarika team and to all the users contributing here.

Best regards, Catseye101

@SueJ60 @Catseye101 @jinia3636 We have resolved the issue with default search. Can you please check once again and let us know?

Catseye101 commented 2 years ago

Once again thank you very much Rasel and the whole Librarika team! The system is perfectly working now.

We are facing a similar issue at https://loab.librarika.com/ The search malfunction occurs when searching under Default using a Category name or Tag. The problem is only with records whose Category/Tag has been edited this week. Previously edited records are appearing fine in the search.

I am still having an issue with newly added books not showing up in the default search. For example, I recently added books #4, 5 & 6 of The Last Kids on Earth series. None of them are showing up in a search for the title or in a search for the author. oahs.librarika.com

Adding to this chain - I am unable to find any books in my library by searching in default. I can find them if I change the search to title or author with the same keywords, but default generates 0 results. Site: fellowshiplodge.librarika.com

@fireborn2001

It often happens due to heavy traffic. If the default search is not working for the Default option then please select other options like ID, Title, ISBN, Call No, Tags, etc or try sometimes later.

Please note: It may takes a couple of hours for the newly added catalog to reflect the search results for default search. Also, for OPAC only the records enabled for OPAC will be displayed on OPAC.
