I've wondered about that as well. On the other hand, noone posted in my thread saying it's working fine for them either. Not that this proves anything.

The firmware crashing would not have been immediately obvious to someone using it, as the driver is reloaded automatically, but the fact that the MAC address is randomized every time, would make connman forget passwords and other settings. I would expect that to become noticed, but perhaps this problem is somehow particular to my setup; perhaps I have an older board with a chip loaded with different firmware at the factory.

This is probably due to people sensibly using Ethernet instead of flakey WiFi, but if the change causes upset we may need to revert back. This is also quite possible of course. Wish I could use ethernet as well...
