Regarding the names: I think the names would be more intuitive if they included not only the pin number but the standard / type. i.e.:

USB 1/2 connector type A/B
USB 2/3/4 connector type C

I like the symbols because they are very uniform. But I was more used to have all the pins on one side (for USB A/B at least). But for the C type one probably always wants the pins split to both sides.

Yep, I'd prefer consistency.

I removed the COMPONENT name from the default value and rebased the branch.

Only open issue left is the DPWR pin requirement above.
