While Red Moon is on, some apps ask for turning off the app the screen overlay settings before giving them app permissions. That is very annoying and uncomfortable at times. When I try to set it off in settings, even though the app overlay setting is already disabled, it repeatedly asks me to turn off. Finally, when I turn off the app I am able to give permission settings to the app. It had occurred even during day time when the app is off.

Is there any way out of this?

Secondly, the app if left unopened for 2-3 days, it isn't able to auto on or off. The problem gets fixed if I do some sort of on off in the location settings. Please look into that.

I hope you give a satisfactory solution..

Hi there, sorry I've been slow on the responses; I haven't been working on Red Moon recently, but will come back to it soon when I finish a couple other personal projects.

While Red Moon is on, some apps ask for turning off the app the screen overlay settings before giving them app permissions. That is very annoying and uncomfortable at times.

Unfortunately, this is a feature of Android: certain apps are secured against overlays (like the one Red Moon uses to show the filter) and will not work when Red Moon is running. Night Screen, a different screen filter app, might have a way around this, although I am not sure it will work for Red Moon. Could you try it, and see if it has the same issue?

When I try to set it off in settings, even though the app overlay setting is already disabled, it repeatedly asks me to turn off.

This part is a really unhelpful error message by Android; it's not something I can fix.

Secondly, the app if left unopened for 2-3 days, it isn't able to auto on or off. The problem gets fixed if I do some sort of on off in the location settings.

Do you mean your phone's location settings or Red Moon's timer/location settings? Can you find a way to make Red Moon exempt from battery optimization features and see if this fixes the problem? How to do this is a little different on each device, but here is an example of how to do it on some devices.

Hi. Sorry for the late reply, but I don't think the attachment came through.
