The housing in general is still an open issue. Any ideas for cheap, eco- and maker-friendly housings?

I would start with a 3D model :) Can you export a vector file like dxf, dwg, svg, eps.. with the mounting points, dimensions and maybe connector sizes?

Now using standard EH housing from Phoenix Contact --> no holes needed anymore.
