UI Refactor #38

Milestone 1.1.

The current UI system needs a bit of a revamp to properly support growth. Some limitations with the current setup:

it doesn't properly handle multiple windows as it can't distinguish which events go to which widgets.
since it doesn't use smart pointers to express ownership, it can be hard (or even impossible) to know if a widget is safe to access/delete.
