I had an issue where rock band would start in steam but would not load it would start for a few seconds then disappear with the rbvr.exe in the task manager with no cpu load. I had to reinstall Windows 10 with original disk and did not update to the creators update April edition of windows. Since then rock band works with revive 1.3.0 all other versions of revive above 1.3.0 had tracking issues where the controller would disappear for a few seconds and rock band would go to the pause menu. It works perfectly with 1.3.0 totally worth reinstalling all other rift games I have work fine.
Thank you for the reply! So I wiped out my computer and just put on the windows 10 update but it updated to the creation version-why do you think it’s broken on that version?

I had version 1803 now i think I'm in version 1703 or 8 or something. It was the only rationale explanation i could come up with. Everything else i restored, drivers ect....
Is yours working now
Besides version 1803 is a voluntary update 1703 is current stable version
That’s good to know - I might just have to do that. I didn’t know that it wasn’t stable.

Its stable but lots of reports of games software ect crashing or not working. All i know is I'm still on 1703 despite allowing windows to update and rock band works. At least go you can be sure it's not a problem with revive
Success I got rock band to load and the guitar is paired and shows up - but I am trying to figure out how to get it to set properly - messed around with advanced settings. How do you have yours set up do you mount the vive wand on the guitar?

I've just mounted it using a thick rubber band i got from staples. There is a vive headstock but it's only available via 3d printer if you have that option. It's a pain to get it to sit in the right place but once it's in position the combination of the tuning pegs on the guitar and the rubber band is good enough to rock out.
I've also seen someone talk about using advanced settings to stick it in the head of the guitar securely with rubber band and use advanced settings to move the guitar round search the reddit forums for that post.
Sweet! I tied it with a rope for now and used revive settings to mess with it, thank you for your help. What a unique fantastic game also! Glad I didn’t give up.

Does it randomly pause for you when it vibrates? If so how the heck do you fix it?!

Use revive 1.3.0 as mentioned in my first post. 1.4 has tracking issues 1.3.0 works perfectly
Just be careful, windows forced the April update on me and had to roll back update. Try opt out before it gives the update or roll back when it does. Security updates will still be available for at least a year hopefully harmonix or Microsoft will have sorted the problem by then
I am running Windows 10 newest update as of today.
I loaded up a new account to try to isolate the issue and got it to load once when it was on 1.1.1 of Revive. Never got it to load after that - On Steam VR and Steam with no beta.
Also I was trying to find where logs would be for Revive to see if I could figure out why it was crashing but I had no luck. Help!
Every other Occulus game I have loads fine no issues - Just Rock Band (Legally Paid for)
Thank you!
