I'm seeing the same issue with Kobold
Environment (please complete the following information):
Game: Kobold
OS: Windows 10 1903
Headset: Oculus Quest
Versions (please complete the following information):
Revive: 1.9.1.5 SteamVR: 1.7.15 Additional Context Latest AMD Drivers installed: 19.10.2
It’s spans multiple titles: https://github.com/LibreVR/Revive/issues/1372 Anything UE4 based. Not sure when the issue started, but it seem to occur across card types (I’m using an nvidia gpu and have the same issue).
I’m wondering if this has to do with: “Improved frame blocking behavior to enhance performance in UE4 games” introduced in version 1.9.0.
Anyone want to test if 1.8.2 suffers from the same issue?
crash !! The same to you. I remember that one of the version of 1.8.X doesn't occur this problem.
Same error for me, same game (Moss) v2.0.0
I also have the same Error. Is there a fix?
This is a problem specifically with the Virtual Desktop driver for SteamVR. Index and WMR headsets are unaffected.
The problem is that these games expect a hidden area mesh and the VD driver doesn't provide one to Revive.

Ahh ok thank you. The same mistake with ALVR. Then I have to play with Oculus Link.

I passed this comment along to the Virtual Desktop developer and he said he would look into it. No public bug tracker as far as I know so guess we'll just have to keep an eye on future release notes.
There's also the possibility for Revive to provide a fake mesh, but having the real one is always better.
FYI this is no longer an issue if you're using Virtual Desktop. As of release 1.9.5 (currently in beta) Revive is no longer needed and Moss launches without error! Cannot test Kobold or other games as I don't own them.
It's a fantastic update that let's you launch Oculus or Steam games directly from the Virtual Desktop interface without having to go in and out of the Oculus or Steam home apps / environments. Very smooth!
Describe the bug The games Moss and Kobold start with a black screen and immediately crash with a UE4-DCVR LowLevelFatalError, similar to the Dance Central issue https://github.com/LibreVR/Revive/issues/1221
