Revive not working with Index, won't launch games #1450

This is on Valve Index.

I installed Oculus app and also the Revive software, most recent versions of both. However, after downloading a couple free games from the Oculus store such as Quill and First Contact, they show in the Index headset but when I start one it does not load and error message appears (cannot run this application without Oculus Rift).

I expected the particular game to launch, instead it is stuck in the loading area and on the computer there is the error message.

Close the Oculus software. I was seeing the same messages on my PC monitor when using my index and attempting to start an Oculus game from within SteamVR .
