Arktika.1 Frame Rate and Body Position errors with Index #1453

Open VachV7 opened 4 years ago

VachV7 commented 4 years ago

When running Arkitka.1 with the latest version on Valve Index, with Knuckles controllers, I get frame rate and latency issues. The game is essentially constantly skipping. In addition (this is a new game), my head is sticking out the top of the truck, or higher than the player position.

I’ve tried adjusting my Index resolution but it has no effects. Your compatibility list says to do this: “ Disable Async Reprojection and enable Always-On Reprojection to get performance equivalent to the Oculus Rift.” - but with all my googling and searching on here I can’t find out how to do that. If someone could assist, I would really appreciate it.

To Reproduce

  1. Start SteamVR with Valve Index, regular release.
  2. Run Revive from the Steam menu in VR.
  3. Select Arkitka.1
  4. Issue starts right after main menu.

Expected behavior Equivalent to Rift frame rates.

i have the same problem with body position. i have resolved starting another game (i have used Luky's Tale) with option to reset play position, set the position standing, exit and reload Arktica.1. I tested it with Vive+knuckles (or vive+vive controllers) and also Index+knuckles and it works with both

Thanks for the information. How did you solve the frame rate / performance issues?

CrossVR commented 4 years ago

@Ylluan You don't need to do that, there's an option within SteamVR to reset your seated position.

Thanks for the information as well, I will attempt this next time I play. @Ylluan I appreciate the reply regardless.

@CrossVR Any idea about the performance issues, though?
