Revive issues #1585

Hi,

I have a valve index which previously worked fine with steamvr, oculus and revive. Oculus/ revive have become unusable and being green at vr I'm stumped and consequently can't play any of my oculus games.

I'm not positive it is a revive issue.

First in games like Onward I couldn't select a helmet to start an operation. Stumped I left.

Then on the onward home screen I could select the single player tab but couldn't select the operations tab. It was only when I changed my dominant hand from right to left that my trigger was able to select the single player tab.

So I'm thinking the bindings are messed up and changed them multiple times with no change. I used other people's bindings, no change.

Now on the revive library I cannot select any of the oculus games to start.

I changed the bindings for revive in the same way but no change.

So at this point I'm a bit stumped and can't play my oculus library through revive.

I'm pretty sure on trying Pavlov through steam that it worked without problems which leads me to think it's revive/oculus related.

Any help appreciated.

IIRC onward has some issues with revive, but I’m not sure.

Can you try any other games and see if there’s binding issues?

Thanks for the reply. Yeh nothing will start in the revive library. I click on every tab and nothing happens.

I've reinstalled oculus, revive, I can't start any games.

Solved. When I reinstalled occulus revive said it would add the occulus games to its library, but it didn't. I realised on uninstalling occulus it uninstalled all the games too. I set them to download and as revive tried to do its work avast antivirus informed me it had stopped a malicious program from carrying out a task. So I think avast has been stopping things from functioning properly. It turned off all shields and occulus games all downloaded and were playable through revive.
