Walkabout Mini Golf crash after a few seconds using inject, it then goes back to steam home

I have the same problem. I boot it up with my Oculus Rift, the game logo comes up and then it quits where I immediately get sent back to the Oculus lobby.

With the latest Walkabout app update (v1.4), the game launches and plays as expected on my system from Steam Home as well as via Revive Inject, although I don't have a Quest/Rift/ALVR device to test the complete original issue scenario.
