This has nothing to do with revive.
this is the exact opposite of what you want Quest Link >> play PCVR games on Quest Revive >> play Quest games on PCVR
Has nothing to do with Revive. More likely some games just use their own models rather than SteamVR's render models and they didn't ship with Oculus Touch models in the SteamVR version.
Does Revive change any SteamVR files?
Once upon a time I had it installed thinking that I needed it to interface with my Quest 2 headset, but unfortunately it wasn't the application I needed (Oculus Link/ALVR were much better suited for me).
I had installed it before testing ALVR/Oculus Link, and I'm wondering if it made any changes to my SteamVR files that may have been updated to my local SteamVR cloud profile, or any windows registry entries that may have been modified.
My issue is that while running ALVR, there are some games that are showing my Quest 2 controllers and headset as an HTC Vive with vive wands, rather than touch controllers. SteamVR is correctly detecting that I have a Quest 2 + Touch controllers as the Steam Void shows the right models and buttons, but for whatever reason some games are not connecting with SteamVR correctly.
I am trying to figure out what the issue might be, since I'm one of a very limited number of people experiencing this. If Revive has nothing to do with any changes to SteamVR files, then totally disregrard this post.
However, if anyone has any ideas on what might be happening, I would love to hear them out as this is a huge problem for me.
