Oculus dash quit app/reset view box popping up when interacting with desktop while in VR (iRacing Revive+SteamVR) #1815

Describe the bug When trying to access the monitor (desktop) via Oculus dash when iRacing (Revive + SteamVR) is running the quit app/reset view box keeps appearing when interacting with desktop items.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Launch iRacing (Oculus mode)
  2. Wait for game to enter session
  3. Click Oculus button on controller to bring up Oculus Dash
  4. Select Monitor 1
  5. Interact with anything on desktop

Expected behavior When launching iRacing Oculus Dash should show that SteamVR is the active application launched. This then allows full desktop interaction without the quit app/reset view box popping up. I can open SteamVR before iRacing is launched which forces this behaviour.

Environment (please complete the following information):

Versions (please complete the following information):

Additional context Running through this guide to implement which does work but I have issues accessing the desktop as described above - https://racelab.app/support/RacelabVRSetupAndFAQ.pdf

I've taken a video of my issue - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QOoUsSXDpnw This video was taken to show it the correct behavior - https://youtu.be/g6aCpnJeXyw

I realise this is an older version but just trying to figure out why mine is performing different than how it's expected too.

Update Based on this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/85h6d0/how_do_i_prevent_the_now_playing_window_from/ I did this which seems to have solved my issue. However it is still odd that SteamVR isn't recognized as the running app when launched.

Oculus app > Library > "+" (add a new app) Add vrserver.exe (Drive):\Steam\steamapps\common\SteamVR\bin\win64\vrserver.exe
