Lone echo visit controls #694

About 20 minutes into the game you go through a tutorial where you have to use your index finger control while pressing on the side of your "visor" aka your head to activate a light. After several minutes I gave up trying to get this to work on the Vive. It won't activate

If you install OpenVR-AdvancedSettings you can adjust the position of your hands relative to the controller in the Revive tab. I'll try and find some better default settings, but for now you can experiment with adjusting those settings.

I promise it works. You gotta try and point your characters finder between you ear and headset, it's like your temple area. You will get it, i promise it works I've beaten the game now and used my flashlight Turnong it on and off many times. There's a sweet spot. Make sure you're pointing your ingame finger

Do an in and out motion like your trying to poke the button for the light.

I was finally able to get it by taking off my headset and using the controllers inside the eye cups. It still took a few minutes but I managed to get past it. I hope I don't have to do that in a hurry in this game

Did you try changing the hand position through OpenVR-AdvancedSettings?

I tried a bit to make the wrist controls easier to use. I saw the patch update with this tag and the head controls are easier to use but more importantly the wrist controls are a million times easier to use. Thx!

What i found with the Valve index I could accurately toggle the shield and the light if i poked myself high in my cheekbone no tweaks needed.
