Thanks for the report, I'll take a look at it.
I just pushed the update to the repository. If you've installed the version with automatic updates, it should be there in a couple of minutes...at least if the update feature is really working :D
Just install jxlpy and restart nautilus. Then you should be good to go.

I installed jxlpy successfully. Then i restarted, but it still doesnt work. I then updated the nautilus-fileconverter.py also. Didnt work either after restarting. Then i specifically did nautilus -q & nohup nautilus & disown, in order to restart, instead of just closing it & opening nautilus again, & that is what did the trick. It works now. :)
I'm glad i didnt have to troubleshoot & try to install apt install libjxl-tools & also install cjxl and djxl, & all that extremely complicated stuff from: https://github.com/libjxl/libjxl
Here's another image format that "Nautilus-fileconverter-43" cant read, .jxl. I've never even heard of jxl. I guess its fairly new, was created in 2020. Its an improved updated/version of jpeg/jpg, it appears. Please update/fix. -Thank you!
